Paris Bre(a)st
Ah, I enjoyed licking cream off a couple of Parisian brests recently ![]()
OK, well it’s time to start the DIY project. I’m going to make a start in the hallway and then make my way through the flat a room at a time - two bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen and lastly the sitting room. Not sure how long it’s going to take me to complete, but don’t expect any blog updates for a while!
My flat has had pale yellow walls since I moved here in October 2003, and I’ve now decided to do some decorating. So this afternoon I made a start by going down to a local DIY store to buy paint, rollers and sleeves, paint trays, an extendable pole, brushes, masking tape, Polyfilla and dust sheets.
The plan is to paint the walls with white satin emulsion, the ceilings & coving with white matt emulsion and the woodwork with white gloss paint. The doors are dark sapele but are looking a bit tatty and so I’m thinking of painting them too. The rooms don’t get a huge amount of sunlight into them and so the aim is to make them feel brighter and larger by using white paint and then adding colour with accessories and furnishings.
Pics from another trip to the Gower Peninsula.
This time I parked at Langland Bay and walked the cliffside path to Caswell Bay and back.
Pics from an afternoon trip to Haugh Woods.
Haugh (pronounced Hoff) Woods, at nearly 850 acres, is owned by the Forestry Commission & is nationally important for butterflies and moths, with over 600 species recorded within it. This makes the wood one of the top 10 woods in the country and is designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI).
